Chwarae Teg works with employers to help ensure that women in Wales can enter the workplace, develop their skills and build rewarding careers.
Their Agile Nation 2 Women’s Career Development Programme is a motivational and inspirational course aimed at developing knowledge, confidence and skills to support women who may be looking to take the next step towards team leading.
This month six of our aspiring future female leaders graduated the programme, and we caught up with them to see how they found the course.
Payten Platon-Ramsden is an associate within our legal department. She found the support available to her throughout the course helpful:
“I would highly recommend the programme, everything was made so easy and the tutor explained things to us very clearly. The tutor I had was lovely and did everything possible to ensure that I believed in myself, and my ability to be able to achieve the qualification.
I have already started using the skills I have learnt and, as a result, have found my job to be a lot easier.”
Carla Galamas is an Applications Processing Manager, and is keen to use the skills she has learnt to help better manage her team:
“I was looking to build my confidence and management skills and I certainly feel like I got that from the course. I think it has taught me how to manage difficult situations and will ultimately help me communicate with my team better.
Although it was challenging at times, you had all the necessary documents to help you complete the coursework and you were able to contact the tutor for help.
I am happy that I have achieved a new qualification and I am very grateful to the company for giving me this opportunity.”
Lauri Cousins is our Facilities Concierge, and she feels more confident in her role as a result of the course:
“I wanted to extend my leadership skills and become more competent in my role. I really enjoyed the course and it gave me the chance to meet lots of like minded women.
The programme has increased my confidence in my abilities and has given me a nice shiny certificate to show off my new skills! I am really glad I went on the course and would consider doing higher level to develop my career further.”
HR Business Partner, Rhian Head, is pleased with the relationship we have established with Chwarae Teg:
“We were keen to partner with Chwarae Teg to give a different perspective, and help us support our employees to gain confidence and progress their careers.
We are pleased with our graduates’ positive experience of the programme so far and we will shortly be selecting for our third cohort of students.”
We are extremely proud of our new graduates! If you are interested in being considered for the course then speak to our Employee Engagement Officer, Danielle Nash.
