We look after each other here at the We Plan Group and the well-being of our employees is of the utmost importance to us.
We believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being. That means making sure our employees are taking care of their mental and physical health, both in and out of work.
However, things can sometimes get on top of us. Working full time whilst trying to balance a life outside of work can be hard. Money worries, illness, and relationship troubles can all get us down.
And that’s okay.
One of the biggest things is recognising when you are feeling a little overwhelmed and knowing what is available to help you feel a little better. We encourage our staff to be open and come forward with any troubles they may be facing. Whether they need help in their personal or professional life, we are here to help!
As a business we have taken a number of steps to ensure that our staff can access support services to help them deal with any issues they may be facing.
WESTFIELD HEALTH PLAN
With a focus on health and well-being, Westfield Health offers employees cashback on various health treatments including therapies, private consultations, dental and holistic health treatments.
If our employees are struggling with their mental health, they can send confidential messages to our Employee Engagement Officer via our Think Tank facility. Alternatively they can book a session with one of our mental health first aiders in the quiet room.
We offer resilience training which all our employees can sign up for. The aim of the course is to help staff build resilience in their personal and professional life. It helps teach strategies to adapt to change and manage stress.
Being active is great for your physical health but evidence also shows it can improve your mental wellbeing. That’s why we try and encourage our staff to remain fit and active with our employee benefits package, Chorlton’s Members Club. This offers discounted memberships at a range of local gyms.
STOP SMOKING SESSIONS
We have partnered with Stop Smoking Wales to try and help employees looking to quit smoking kick the habit once and for all. If you are interested in taking part in the next time we run the group then speak to our Employee Engagement Officer.
Financial worries can contribute towards ill health. We have partnered with Gateway Credit Union and encourage our teams to become regular savers through the payroll deduction scheme.
